2023 Talanta Medal awarded to Professor Mark Meyerhoff

The Talanta Medal, awarded on a biennial basis, recognizes outstanding achievements in analytical chemistry. The 2023 Medal is awarded to Professor Mark Meyerhoff, the Philip J. Elving Collegiate Professor of Chemistry at the University of Michigan, in recognition of his numerous contributions to the field, particularly in developing novel electrochemical and optical sensors for biomedical applications. 

His work is reflected in an impressive Hirsch Index of 77, with over 18,000 citations, and more than 350 publications. It has been recognized by numerous past awards, including the ACS Division of Analytical Chemistry Award in Electrochemistry in 2003, the Charles N. Reilley Award in Electroanalytical Chemistry in 2006, the Ralph N. Adams Award in Bioanalytical Chemistry in 2013, the ACS Award in Analytical Chemistry in 2020, and the ANACHEM Award in 2021.

The medal will be given to him during the 22nd ICFIA, on Monday 29th, May at 5:00 pm.
